A land before time.

This term we are learning about Dinosaurs.
We started the unit by finding out we already know about Dinosaurs.
We came up with some interesting questions about what we want to find out about Dinosaurs.
Mr Mac's Dad made us some wooden Dinosaurs. We made a plan first of what we wanted them to look like. Then we sponged them. Then we added the details with black pen.

Grandparents Reading to us in Book Week.

Book Character Parade

What an amazing week we have had.
We made character books and book marks.
We had lovely Grandparents come and read to us on Wednesday.
We planted jack's beanstalk with our buddies.
We had lots of stories and we had lots of fun.
We ended the week with a book character parade.

Dress Up day for Book Week

Room 9a had a fabulous dress up day. We had witches, fairies, super heros, animals and book characters.
Look at us, we looked amazing.

Making Gingerbread girl's and boy's.

We are learning about 'Traditional Tales'.
This week we read the story 'The Gingerbread Man.
We made gingerbread girls and boys with 2 fabulous Mother helps.

Toys

Room 10 has been learning about 'Toys'.

We started the unit with a trip to Motat.

We had a toy themed week.

We made our own toys.

We had lots of fun.

 Motat was fun. We got to play with lots of toys.

We looked at toys from the past and the present.

Making our Dolls.

We designed our doll onto a template first.
Then we drew the design onto our fabric pattern.
Next we used Mrs Newman's sewing machine to sew it up.
We left a hole for the stuffing to go in.
Then we stuffed them.
Lastly we sewed up the hole and added hair.
